The other day I noticed a little figure sitting on a rock, gazing at me, so I picked him up and took him home. I couldn’t leave him in the charity shop, could I? Especially as he was only 50p.
On the back of his rock is etched the legend ‘C.L. Penny Designs’. He’s delighted to have his picture put up on a blog – nobody’s ever blogged about him before. He will probably sit and stare at it all night when I’ve gone through to watch Battlestar Galactica. He’s probably looking at it even as you are.
I wonder what is the last little thing you couldn’t resist taking home with you? Anything like this?

The C.L. Penny dragon
OMG
If you still own this would there be any chance you would be willing to sell it?
You see I collect the original real ones, and this looks to be genuine [the fakes have poorly painted rock/shells]
My aunt had two of them that as a child I loved, their so cute. A while before she passed away she gave them to me and I set out on a mission to collect more, I have found 3 more since and I haven’t got this one.
I can’t find anything online for a workshop of this mysterous “C.L. Penny” so to find this one is soooo cool.
If you don’t want to part with it I totally understand as they are the coolest little figures ever. I’d be happy to send you pictures of the rest of his family too if you would like ^^

I’m sorry to say he’s not for sale, but I went looking again and found there’s a C L Penny dragon (not identical to mine) on eBay UK just now. It will ship worldwide.
I’ve also found the artist’s name is Carol Lynn Penny, which I didn’t know before. Useful snippet, as I get all the wrong results when I put ‘C L Penny’ or ‘C L Penny dragon’!

I wouldn’t have found out her name if it hadn’t been for the eBay lot… I was glad to discover it too.
Hope you find more dragons through it. I’ve never seen another, so they do seem to be hard to find.
